For the third straight year, Novaliches Christian Fellowship church sponsored Discipling the Islands 3 joined by the youth of NCF Rapu-Rapu, NCF Aurora and NCF Outreach Rainbow Homes in Quezon City held at the NCF worship hall from April 17 to 22, 2017. This pursuit served as an extension program of last year’s efforts to strengthen the church ministry across our satellite church families.
The daily activities would normally start with a morning devotion followed by a full-packed breakfast, lunch and dinner whereas Bible studies were heavily focused on church doctrines.
Day One served as a welcome orientation while Day Two hurled an open forum, which was charted by a workshop. Day Three and Four focused on teambuilding activities with emphasis on discipline and servanthood while campers were given liberty on Day Five to enjoy the mall.
Day Six (April 23), the campers joined our Sunday Worship Service. It was such great joy to witness how the weeklong camp served as a venue for them to follow Christ and get to know him even more as Sis. Gigi Dantes introduced them in front of the entire congregation.
It is good to see that the campers made life-changing commitments upon reaching the end of the week. Majority of them who are new to the camp have decided to follow Jesus through water baptism. Wrapping up the campers last day, a lunch boodle fight occurred after the worship service.
As culmination, a joint fellowship transpired also between the campers and NCF Clayhouse before the former headed back to their respective homes as finale.
Let us indeed pray that the graduates, from our very own Discipling the Island program be used once again in their respective local communities. And that they may proclaim God’s goodness each and everyday!
