One Sunday afternoon in late 1991, Pastor Mark Dantes organized a Bible Study in his home in Diamond Village, Quezon City. He was joined by his wife Gigi, sister Ruth, Thea de Guzman, and Baby Pascual, to name a few of their friends. This went on for around eight months until Pastor Mark opened up the thought of building a church. Most of the group members were not yet ready to embrace the proposal. Two months after, everybody was one with that idea as if God spoke to their hearts.
In August 1992, Novaliches Christian Fellowship was born. The first worship service had 15 attendees. A year after, NCF was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non profit religious corporation. The rising number of members and attendees prompted Pastor Mark to look for a bigger place of worship that same year. NCF was temporarily housed in a vacant floor of a bowling place in Novaliches Town Proper.
But the Lord had greater plans for NCF. The members encouraged the church leaders to buy its own property. Fund-raising activities began and eventually succeeded. In April 1999, NCF transferred to its present location in Cruzville Subdivision. The workers multiplied and more departments and ministries were created.
God has been so good to NCF. In January 2007, NCF was able to acquire the vacant lot beside it. At present, funds are being raised to be able to build more rooms for Sunday schools and multi-purpose function rooms for the different ministries' activities. NCF moves on, diligently yet humbly carrying out The Great Commission of bringing more people to Jesus Christ.
